you know something i wish more vampire media focused on? How much diet affects their day-to-day life. If your vampire can ONLY drink blood, there are a lot of social implications to that when it comes to dealing with humans. I knew food was important culturally before I got sick, but it wasn't until I couldn't really go to any restaurants, accept people's snacks in classes, or cookies they baked for the holidays that it was THAT important. There's a lot you miss out on if you can't eat most things, a lot of awkward explanations, things you may not get invited to. People feel weird eating around you when you can't eat anything, there's no helping it. It's a social faux pas that I have to remind my own family that it's okay to do, never mind someone new to me. And I can still eat some things, y'know? If the vampire is the type to only be able to consume blood and is interacting with humans on the regular, that is going to be a challenging thing to try and navigate. If they're trying to hide the fact they're a vampire, at least from my own experience that would probably be the biggest point of conversation with people. "oh maybe you can try this thing" or "aw man yeah I'm sorry I'm eating in front of you" so on so forth. It isn't something I've seen a lot of vampire stories tackle that I think would realistically be a big thing to navigate. I'm definitely going to be including it in my own writing

This could be something that could translate to vampires interacting with other vampires too. What if your vampire is the type to only drink animal blood? What challenges to they have when interacting with vampires that don't do that? Granted this has been explored a decent amount, but I'm not sure I've seen it from this lens

If I were a vampire I'd use my powers to go caving

Think about it: if you can turn to mist you won't get stuck anywhere. If you also don't need to breathe you don't have to worry about bad air or the cave flooding (unless you can't deal with running water... then caves would be a Very Bad Idea)
